21.11 Drivere:
Disse driverne brukte vinnerne på PGA tour
"Drive for show, putt for dough", heter det. Her er en artikkel om hva vinnerne i turneringer har brukt ute PGA Tour'en i år.

Artikkelen er skrevet av Jennifer Gardneri The Tour Van.

It was a good year for TaylorMade, Nike and Titleist drivers on the PGA Tour, with 11, 11 and 10 wins respectively for 2008
TaylorMade, which saw its r7 425, Burner and Tour Burner drivers rack up the wins, started the year with Daniel Chopra's win at the Mercedes-Benz Championship. The company's new Tour Burner made its winner's circle debut with Andres Romero winning the Zurich Classic, and most notably was used by Sergio Garcia to win the Players and Kenny Perry in three victories that earned him a Ryder Cup spot.

Nike might have taken a hit when its top player, Tiger Woods, ended his season after the U.S. Open. The Oregon-based equipment maker did slow down some in the win category after Woods' four victories and a Masters win by Trevor Immelman. But Stewart Cink and Anthony Kim had wins following Torrey Pines to add a couple more victories to Nike's total.

Titleist introduced new 909 series drivers to the Tour mid-year and got their first win with the 909D2 when Chez Reavie won the Canadian Open. Four of the company's 10 driver wins came from the 909D2, which was also played by Parker McLachlin, Zach Johnson and Davis Love III.

Cleveland earned five wins on the strength of Vijay Singh's late-season playoff wins. Cobra and Callaway both had four wins with the driver. Callaway staff player Phil Mickelson experimented with the company's I-Mix technology that allowed him to switch out shafts between rounds through a proprietary screw-in attachment. And Ernie Els, also a Callaway staffer, used the square FT-i driver in his win at the Honda Classic.

Also notable: Wilson Staff's pair of wins from two-time (in 2008) major champion Padraig Harrington.

A new Adams driver made inroads on the tour as well, getting a win at the hands of Richard S. Johnson at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. Johnson was using the driver, called the Adams Insight 9015D, for the first time in competition, and was not paid to use the driver.
