31.01 LET Access Series:
Nå er terminlisten klar
Norge har flere utøvere som har stor interesse av å få tak i den nye
terminlisten.
Den ble presentert 31. januar 2017. Den er i likhet med LET-terminlisten ikke
særlig imponerende. Med foreløpig bare 12 turneringer i 9 land blir dette en
tynn suppe for de unge og håpefulle som satser på en profesjonell karriere.
Spillerne går stort sett arbeidsledige hele sommeren.
De
som lurer på om de skal gå på college eller satse på en profesjonell karriere
fra meget ung alder, bør ikke tenke seg om en eller to ganger, men langt flere.
Det vil si; det holder med en gang: College er løsningen - punktum. Bortsett fra
i noen ekstremt få tilfeller. Alle saker er jo som kjent ikke like. Tvert i mot.
Ingen saker er like i denne sammenhengen.
Vel, her er "skrytelisten" fra LET-organisasjonen. LET gjør så godt de kan, men
det er på ingen måte lett å samle inn penger og villige arrangører som tør/vil
gå inn på slike prosjekter som det å arrangere kvinnelige proffturneringer på
nivåer under det høyeste nivået..
LET ACCESS SERIES ANNOUNCES 2017 SCHEDULE
The Ladies European Tour Access Series is pleased to announce its schedule
for the 2017 season, which will feature a minimum of 12 tournaments in nine
countries across Europe.
It will be headlined by the Jabra Ladies Open at Evian Resort Golf
Course in France on June 1-3, which features a €50,000 prize fund and will also
double as the official European Qualifier for the Evian Championship, with two
spots available in the season’s Fifth Major at the same venue, on September
11-17.
Now in its eighth year, the LET Access Series season begins with the Terre
Blanche Ladies Open at the stunning Golf de Terre Blanche near Nice in France
from March 31-April 2. The tournament was the first ever LETAS event to be
played in 2010 and will be held for the sixth time, having returned to the LET
schedule in 2016 after a one year hiatus.
The Azores Ladies Open will return to Terceira Golf Club on Terceira Island,
where it was previously staged in 2015. Meanwhile, the VP Bank Ladies Open, to
be played at the beautiful Gams-Werdenberg Golf Club in Switzerland for the
fourth time on May 4-6, followed by the Swedish PGA Championship at PGA Sweden
National on May 24-26.
The EVLI Ladies Finnish Open will be played at Hillside Golf Club on June 9-11,
followed by the Czech Ladies Challenge on June 22-24 and then the Citizenguard
LETAS Trophy in Belgium on July 6-8. The LET Access Series then returns to Augas
Santas Balneario and Golf Resort in Spain for the fifth edition of the Riberia
Sacra Patrimonio de la Humanidad International Ladies Open on July 12-14,
followed by the Norrporten Ladies Open at Sundsvall Golf Club in Sweden on
August 2-4.
Moving on to France, the NordicTrack Open will be played for the fourth
successive year, followed by the fifth WPGA International Challenge at Stoke by
Nayland Golf Club in England on September 28-30.
LET Access Series Tour Director, Di Barnard, said: “I’m excited about the
playing opportunities available to our members in 2017, with some fantastic
events at superb venues, which will allow our members and elite amateurs to test
their game at the professional level. It is extremely pleasing to see the rapid
progress of former members, such as Olafia Kristinsdottir and Nicole Broch
Larsen, who are now making an impact on the world stage and in big events such
as the Olympic Games in Rio. I would like to thank all of our promoters,
sponsors and partners for their continued support of our tour and players and
for helping to make this possible.”
The LET Access Series is the official developmental tour to the Ladies European
Tour and provides players with an opportunity to progress to the LET. The top
five players on the 2017 LETAS Order of Merit will earn membership of the Ladies
European Tour for the 2018 season, while players finishing in sixth to 20th
positions progress to the final stage of Lalla Aicha Tour School, thereby
skipping the first qualifying event. Some of the players who have progressed on
to the Ladies European Tour via the LET Access Series are Scotland’s Pamela
Pretswell, Marion Ricordeau from France, Denmark’s Nicole Broch Larsen and
Olivia Cowan from Germany.
