England er det ledende landet i Europa på  golf. Cobra har sendt ut en pressemelding om et meget sterkt salg av drivere i år.

Cobra SZ drivers achieve huge UK market share gains over nearest rivals since their February launch

It seems that Cobra’s new range of SZ drivers are not only fast off the club face but fast out of the shops too. Massive pre-book sales followed by rave reviews and strong initial consumer reaction has resulted in a big leap in market share for Cobra, the brand famed for producing high quality game improvement products for the everyday golfer. Since its launch in early February Cobra’s SZ drivers have achieved a volume market share of 20.6% according to Sports Marketing Surveys latest Retail Audit eclipsing the sales of two well known driver brands and way ahead of the chasing pack. It is not just in volume terms that Cobra comes out on top either as it also commands a 23.3% share when looking at £’s spent on metals since the launch.

The new King Cobra SZ Unlimited drivers have taken Titanium drivers to a new level with a whole host of dazzling technological features creating the hottest all-titanium Cobra driver yet. With two head size options to choose from (440cc and 400cc) the drivers provide a massive ‘sweet zone’ and solid feel at impact delivering longer, more accurate drives from all over the club face. The ubiquitous 9 point graphic in Cobra’s ads and Point of Sale has connected strongly with the consumer, and become a powerful brand icon. When looking at specific driver model sales in March the Cobra 440 SZ is the #1 seller in terms of volume with the Cobra 400 SZ in third place with 5.2% behind the Titleist 983K driver on 7.2%.

The immense interest from the general public has seen golfers are flocking to Cobra’s biggest ever Demo Day schedule and with first quarter metals sales² more than double year on year and a #1 market share position since launch, Cobra’s Sales Director Nick Tempest is delighted with the progress the brand is making “We are delighted to be the number one seller in March so quickly after launch. The bottom line is that the Cobra SZ driver genuinely works for every type of golfer and the word is spreading rapidly.”

With consumer demand sky high for the Cobra brand, 2004 looks set to be another great year for the much respected game improvement brand.
