bestemte Colin Montgomerie
at han ikke ville spille
mer i USA. Nå har han
fått såpass mye støtte
at han har ombestemt seg.

recanted on his vow to
give up playing in
the U.S. Two weeks ago,
after the World Match Play
championships,
Monty said he would not
return to the U.S. in 2003
and beyond
due to the rude treatment
he regularly receives from
American
galleries. Upon reflection,
and urging from many U.S.
citizens,
however, he has changed
his mind. "Over the
past week, the
assurances that I have
received from the PGA Tour
and tournament
promoters, coupled with
the support I have
received via phone
calls, letters and emails
from genuine U.S. golf
fans, has
convinced me that I should
not let a small minority
dictate
where I should play my
golf," he said.
